The Patron’s Club held their annual summer champagne and canapes event on the evening of the 24th June. This was hosted by Sir Algernon and Lady Heber-Percy at Hodnet Hall Gardens and attended by over 60 members and guests. Our speaker for the evening was The Rt Hon Phillip Dunne MP who gave us an insight into the current situation in Westminster and also his outlook for the run up to the next election.
The members were also introduced to our newly installed Parliamentary spokesperson for the constituency Dean Carroll who mapped out his thinking for the fight against the Liberal Democrats to reclaim North Shropshire for the Conservatives.
The evening was rounded off by our chairman Andrew Johnston who thanked Sir Algernon and Lady Jane for welcoming us into their amazing gardens also Phillip and Dean sharing their thoughts and observations with us.
