Local Conservative Support for British Legion

Mr Ted Larkins, Chairman of the Royal British Legion Oswestry Branch receives a cheque from NSCA Chairman Chris Schofield

On Tuesday 1st November 2011, Mr Ted Larkins, Chairman of the Royal British Legion Oswestry Branch received £150 from Cllr Chris Schofield, Chairman of North Shropshire Conservative Association towards the welfare of the local branch.

Castle Ward Councillor Advice Surgery

Conservative Oswestry Town Councillor Paul Milner would like to invite any Castle Ward residents to come along to a surgery he will be holding.

The details of the drop-in surgery are as follows:

Saturday 10th September

10am to 12noon

The Guildhall (Walford Davis Room)

This is an opportunity for residents to meet with their local councillor and discuss any issues they may have or make suggestions which could be looked at.

Conservatives support NO2AV with Action Day

Local Conservatives from across the constituency along with Owen Paterson, MP for North Shropshire and Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, campaigned across North Shropshire to encourage people to vote NO at the upcoming referendum on the Parliamentary voting system.

With events in towns across the width of the constituency including Oswestry, Wem, Whitchurch and Market Drayton the day has helped to raise awareness for the campaign against an unfair system.

The campaigning will continue right up until May 5th with more vents being arranged. If you would like to be involved then just contact the office or check on the website for updates.

Conservatives at Oswestry Show

Oswestry Show was held on Saturday August 7th 2010 with a Conservative stall in the business marquee. The show was a great success attracting people from across the area to see the mixture of stalls and shows. The Oswestry Branch managed to sign-up new members on the day and has since signed up more members who took information.
