Local Conservatives from across the constituency along with Owen Paterson, MP for North Shropshire and Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, campaigned across North Shropshire to encourage people to vote NO at the upcoming referendum on the Parliamentary voting system.
With events in towns across the width of the constituency including Oswestry, Wem, Whitchurch and Market Drayton the day has helped to raise awareness for the campaign against an unfair system.
The campaigning will continue right up until May 5th with more vents being arranged. If you would like to be involved then just contact the office or check on the website for updates.
Officers from the North Shropshire Conservative Association attended a reception held recently with Prime Minister David Cameron the star attraction.
On October 7th the Conservative candidate Paul Milner was elected to represent the Castle Ward on Oswestry Town Council
Conservative candidate Saffron Rainey has been elected as Councillor for the Castle Ward of Oswestry Town Council. With 44% of votes cast Saffron managed to see off both the Liberal Democrat and Independent candidates.
Oswestry Show was held on Saturday August 7th 2010 with a Conservative stall in the business marquee. The show was a great success attracting people from across the area to see the mixture of stalls and shows. The Oswestry Branch managed to sign-up new members on the day and has since signed up more members who took information.
